By signing this Agreement, the undersigned parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”), on behalf of the participating Cheerleader (“Cheer Leader”), acknowledges and agrees that participation in United Allstar Cheer (“UAC”) activities is subject to the following terms and conditions. The Parent/Guardian and Cheerleader affirm that they have read, understand, and agree to comply fully with all rules, policies, and expectations established by UAC.
The Cheer Leader agrees to comply with all uniform and appearance requirements established by UAC. For all performances, the Cheerleader will wear the official UAC uniform, consisting of long, pant-length black leggings, black socks, black Cheer shoes as designated by UAC, an official UAC uniform shirt provided by the organization, and a bow or hat as instructed. Uniform shirts are to be worn exclusively for official performances and may not be worn outside of UAC events. Jeans are strictly prohibited at all UAC events, including practices, and any permitted attire must meet length and appearance standards set by UAC. All Cheerleaders are required to wear appropriate makeup at all performances unless otherwise directed by UAC leadership.
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges that punctual attendance at all scheduled performances is mandatory. Any Cheerleader who arrives late to a performance without prior notification may be prohibited from performing at the sole discretion of UAC. Failure to attend a scheduled performance without notice, commonly referred to as a no-call/no-show, shall result in disciplinary action, which may include suspension from practices and performances for up to one (1) week. The Parent/Guardian agrees to provide a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours’ advance notice to UAC leadership if the Cheerleader is unable to attend a scheduled performance, except in cases of emergency.
The Parent/Guardian understands that practice schedules may vary based on performance requirements and that attendance at all scheduled practices is mandatory. In order to be eligible to perform at any event, the Cheerleader must attend all practices scheduled during the corresponding performance week. If the Cheerleader misses more than one (1) practice during a performance week, the Cheerleader shall be deemed ineligible to perform at that event.
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges that Cheer practices are restricted to Cheerleaders only and that parents, guardians, family members, and friends are not permitted in the practice area during instructional time. While positive encouragement is welcomed, coaching, commentary, interruptions, or interjections during practice are prohibited. Parents and guardians may communicate with Cheerleaders only after practice has concluded and not during instructional periods.
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and understands that participation in Cheer activities involves inherent risks, including the possibility of physical injury. The Parent/Guardian, on behalf of themselves and the Cheerleader, voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in UAC activities. The Parent/Guardian hereby releases, waives, discharges, and holds harmless United Allstar Cheer (“UAC”) its Board of Directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, management, and Shahira McGinty from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to the Cheerleader’s participation in UAC activities, events, practices, or performances, whether occurring on or off UAC premises, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
By signing below, the Parent/Guardian affirms that they have carefully read this Agreement in its entirety, fully understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms on behalf of themselves and the Cheerleader.
